Diane K. Fiander, M.D. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at Associated Retinal Consultants, serving patients in northern Michigan. She specializes in vitreoretinal diseases.
Dr. Fiander earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She earned her Master of Science in Nutrition from Columbia University, Institute of Human Nutrition in New York City. Dr. Fiander earned her medical degree at Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University, in North Chicago.
Dr. Fiander completed her internship at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester and residency in ophthalmology at Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit. She then went to the Retina Institute of California in Pasadena, CA and completed her Vitreoretinal Fellowship.
Dr. Fiander is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, and the American Society of Retinal Specialists. She has co-authored peer-reviewed publications, presented on various topics, and has participated in clinical research trials.
